In Memoriam Music 2018-Early 2019 Unofficial Grammy Segment Follow-Up

Hello again blog readers and fellow music lovers!

For the fourth year in a row, I memorized nearly all the musicians and music industry figures who died just before or since last year's Grammys and prior to this year's telecast which aired a few nights ago. While watching the proceedings, as in previous years, I paid very close attention with regard to which of them were and weren't shown in this year's In Memoriam segment.

Like I did the past three years, very shortly after the ceremony for this year came to an end, I opened up Microsoft Power Point and made several slides, each of which consisted of a photo of a deceased musician, singer, or other music industry figure along with their respective names and brief descriptions and/or facts. Luckily, now I've figured out how to export PowerPoint projects in video format!

This year's video's soundtrack includes "Starry Eyes" by the underrated yet really good late 70s English power-pop band The Records, led by the late John Wicks (the first person shown following the title card) and "My Own Story," a sweet ballad from doo-wop group The Jive Five, with the late Eugene Pitt on lead vocals.

Hope you all enjoy it and please feel free to post any questions, comments, or personal thoughts of any of the individuals shown here.
