Naming As Many Musical Bands and Groups (No Duos Or Soloists [latter only included if they're the leader of a band]) As I Can In 30 Minutes

Hello, my blog readers! After looking at the following link, in which some buddies attempt to name out loud at least 500 celebrities in an entire half-hour I wondered,considering my long-documented knowledge of popular music, how many bands and music groups could I think of just using my mind and no other sources in that same amount of time?

I decided to set a timer and type as many musical groups and bands (no soloists or duos, unless the latter was two frontmen with a backup band i.e. They Might Be Giants) as I could on a Microsoft Word Document. When the alarm went off, I immediately ceased typing. Luckily, I thought of a lot! How many can you count? My goal was like the folks in the FunnyOrDie video: to try to get up to 500.
